The Government of Kenya

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Development is our primary partner. By working together, we stay within government policy and what they observe us do with the farmers influences the policies in a positive way. ROA complements government’s extension services and value chain development for farmers and demonstrates how agriculture can truly create jobs for the youth, improve family incomes even as it provides food. Through that we hold field days together and pass on key messages including nutrition education.

Africa Agricultural Technology Foundation

AATF is a not-for-profit Foundation mandated to facilitate and promote public/private partnerships for the access and delivery of proprietary agricultural technologies for use by resource-poor smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. ROA collaborated with AATF in implementing the Water Efficient Maize for Africa (WEMA) project. This was a public-private partnership intervention to address the devastating effects of drought on smallholder farmers.
